Brevard Lamaze
Maria Malone, LCCE, CLC
Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator
Certified Lactation Counselor
What to expect at a Lamaze class and how to prepare to attend:
-
Wear something comfortable. We'll be trying out some labor coping techniques. If you'd rather not, that's ok too.
-
Bring a snack and something to drink. Light snacks and water will be provided as well. (Please avoid strong smelling foods as some expectant parents may currently be struggling with various odors.)
-
You'll learn lots of stuff you may not have heard before! If it's something you already know, be patient with those who are hearing it for the first time.
-
Active participation is welcome, but not mandatory. If you'd rather just sit and listen, that's totally ok.
-
Please keep questions brief and relevant. The 4 hour class moves quickly and covers lots of information. Don't hesitate to ask though! If you're wondering about something, chances are someone else attending is too.
-
You're welcome to bring whatever items help you to learn and retain information. (A notebook, laptop, tablet, etc.) You'll be receiving a workbook that you can write in too.
-
Be ready to have fun! Activities that help you learn are a big part of the class.
